Hong Kong Bird Market

Hong Kong Bird Market

A 3000 square metre traditionally-designed Chinese garden located in Mong Kok, Yuen Po Street Bird Market has dozens of stalls selling exotic birds and paraphernalia.

The Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is a peaceful 3000 square metre park built in 1997 in the style of a traditional Chinese garden.

Known as the Bird Market, it's home to over 70 different stalls selling exotic birds as well as beautifully crafted bamboo bird cages, food and other bird-related paraphernalia.

A curious visit

Even if you're not planning on taking a bird home as a souvenir from your trip to Hong Kong, the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is worth a visit just for the experience alone. The bird market is also a meeting place for bird-owners to proudly show off their birds and cages, and it's uniquely charming to be in a place so dedicated to birds.
