Discover the ancient fishing tradition in Hong Kong on this tour of the South and Lamma Islands. Let's experience a day in the life of a local fisherman.
Island South & Lamma Island Fishermen Tour
At 10 am we'll meet at MTR Lei Tung Station and from there, we'll head to the coast. We'll board a boat and we'll set course to South Island.
Once there, we'll explore the island to learn about the daily life of the local fishermen. We'll learn interesting facts about their occupation, such as the different types of fishing boats, how they feed the fish or what their most efficient techniques are.
After learning about the importance of the fishing industry in Hong Kong throughout history, we'll return to the boat and sail to Lamma Island. On the way, we'll have the opportunity to see a deep-water circular plastic cage, the only one in the area.
Upon arriving at Lamma, we'll continue to delve into Hong Kong's fishing tradition and sample some of its best fish and seafood at the Lamma Rainbow Seafood restaurant. Bon appetit!
Lastly, we'll drop you back at the meeting point at 2.30 pm.
